Mad-e, a human!

This, a random piece of nonsense. To be ignored by the intellectual reader.

She was mad, mad at being mad.
She had no damn reason to be mad,
But she was.
But of course, she is mad!
And the mad she
Happens to be me!

Why in the world does she have to crib :( I HATE it! She has no reason to do so, when there are zillion problems the world faces and hers the most insignificant cause being “boredom” and the thoughts that it brings with it. But heck! It’s the same problems of the world that make her crib.

She is mad :) implies that I am too.

BJP Chief slams missionaries for conversions

BJP Chief slams missionaries for conversions

//

Terming religious conversions as the “greatest threat” facing Scheduled Tribes, apart from uenmployment, poverty and illiteracy, he said, “Have you ever seen the rich converting? It is only the poor who do it. The tribals are a simple and emotional people who would be grateful for even a little service and convert.

“The activities of the Christian missionaries is a major challenge as conversions change not only the country’s demographic profile but also its unique identity.” “Collective conversions are a cruel joke on the poverty of the poor. The missionaries are taking undue advantage of their financial weakness. There should be a blanket ban of conversions.

…Somehow, i do agree.

IBNLive : Hospital for the lovesick

IBNLive : Hospital for the lovesick

Sooper!!!…

now what do I do when am totally sick of all the “love”?:-/:-?

That inane word, that makes no sense to me, that drives the world, round and round, and freezes the world for those who are in love!

OOF!

respite please!!!

Water!

Greater role for women in the church. Great at all?!

Am most tempted to say “F*** religion” but, hmm… My civil self stops me.

And my friend and I were just discussing the other day, how the Church never has a Woman priest, and the world will never ever see a Lady Pope. And then I see this news item.

Hmm, am not comparing, but Hinduism has its women priests, though it’s a long ride for them to get there, and women are heads of religious institutions as well.

Freak man! women can never be priests under the catholic church! Weird religion!! Justification for a thing as lame as: “Christ willingly chose men to be his disciples”…HUH??????

The games of gender! Patriarchy! Stereotyping!

Wonder why I’m born a girl! Instead of a human!

51 crores coz i offended your religion!

Hindu Law Board offers Rs 51 cr for killing M.F. Hussain

What the bloody heck is this country coming to?!?!!??!!?

Mad people putting up price tags to kill people under the garb of religion!

Just a few days back, we had the UP minister offering the favourite 51 crore number for the head of the Danish cartoonist.

Isn’t it time religion is taken to such extremist levels?! And heights of stupidity.

You may get offended by these pictures and descriptions; well I myself do, and hate it!

The best part of it all is the fucked up government is still “listening” and “contemplating” over the situation! When some lame souls, in attention seeking gimmicks throw such statements!

At times tolerance works! If only some people learnt it! Guess now I have to tolerate and put up with such tamasha and dumb displays of “religiousness”!!!

Which religion says no one must offend it? But am sure, that all religions [that I’ve come across] teach a certain degree of tolerance, and when it relates to something on religion itself, isn’t it a bit truer and more of a necessity?

See, as long as people have the freedom to express they will do so! It’s a case of one man’s food being another’s poison; it all depends on the individual to take it as an offence at all or worse! This is strictly w.r.t religion here. Again, I agree that the person must not misuse the freedom to a great level, and then again, if only people could be a bit more CIVIL in their reaction to such offending portrayals of their religion.

On a different note, why not these religion harbingers value the human head more? And price it even more, am sure there will be a long list of people who would surely love to get that magical figure.

Strange indeed, you can use that same bloody 51 crores for some other purpose, whether religion or otherwise as well.

There are so many other dam problems lurking the country, and here some brainless cracks are following the “much ado about nothing” syndrome to the tee! Nothing may be quite an understatement, but fact of the matter, these people need to think better things in life, than gain their 30 seconds to fame with such dehumanising and lame statements!

Am not saying I won’t be offended, and not accusing people for getting offended. I personally have problems with MF Hussain’s paintings and the portrayal of Indian Gods on biknis and other such, as well as detest the cartoonist’s insult to the Prophet, yet again, if I was a diplomat, or bureaucrat, I am hundred percent sure, I would not go as far as these ministers and heads of community boards as the Hindu board, and vittify [leave] ask 51 crores for the head of someone who offended my religion.

Perhaps 1001 crores, I like 1001!

Yet to get back to active blogging. Sorry for not replying to comments. Saw this news item and HAD to blog about it, to vent my ire at least!

Don’t care if the world ends in 1000 years!

End of the world in 1,000 years?

Looks like it.

But being the insensitive humans we’ve always been, the majority will think, “Oh I won’t be around then, so big deal! Like am gonna be affected by it”

Selfish huh?!

Suck all the bloody things possible from the world, and then have this “I don’t care”, “like it matters to me” attitude that drives minds.

1000 years along the line, you won’t be considered a human, how does that sound?

Don’t care huh?!

Self imposed break from active [!?] blogging, couldn’t resist not blogging when I read this. Yeah, will be back when the mind sets itself free!

An unknown connection

Every time I see, there are things that catch my mind’s eye, and immediately connect me with something special, that strikes me the moment I see it. People, objects… it’s weird, it’s as though, there was something that was meant to happen between me and them, that will make this impression in my mind, that will stay on for years to come. I see someone on the road, now why do I have to see that person alone? I can’t tell. But that’s how it works. I see them, some kind of an image of the person sets, and I see myself thinking about the person or what the person was doing, later. Each one I “notice” sparks a thought. It’s this mass flooding of the mind, with some kinda chain of thought that drives the rationale to its irrational self.

Actions, objects, images, somewhat make the mind a conglomerate of some extremely random waves, and you finally don’t know what you were thinking of, or why. It’s this rhythmic flow, a cycle, which we presume to gather momentum, but before we realise, we’re back to logic. Are these incidents the manifestation of our desire to escape the real world? Are they created to make us feel like we’re to do something more, and probably realise what life is all about? Will they mean anything to me in future? Something will relate me with them? Strangers I see… peeping through my window, thinking of …

Fuck!!! I dunno why I’m writing this!

Education of agriculture?

China’s economy to grow 9.2% in 2006: WB

And… interesting to know our economy stands to grow from 6% to 11% by 2025, and its present 8.1% GDP.

=============================================================

More than 58% of our country is dependant on agriculture, contributing 22% to the GDP. One question that has always lingered in my mind is “what will happen to the backbone of Indian economy, since time immemorial, come to when the farmers/agriculturists send their children for higher studies, and the same children don’t return and have nothing to do with agriculture in their life?”

We see this shift happening, have farmers seeing a better life for their children in cities rather than the paddy fields in the village. What will happen if every young one migrates to the towns? I know people will think am just being overtly anxious and that even if there is no man power, machine power will take over the agriculture sector. But I would like to know, how feasible it is for an AVERAGE farmer, old maybe, to afford those very machines. I know [personal experience] how the increased interest rates in the “societies” have proved a bane on their shoulder, adding to reduced produce, and less cost of crop.

Despite these negative vibes, we have a whole new method of selling agro produce, directly to the consumer minus middle-men. This however has begun in certain areas only like Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, with groups like the ITC, setting up e-choupals, it doesn’t seem bleak after all. Now there’s a two way profit happening here, with farmers getting their crop’s value, and companies that have invested in such e-ventures, getting equal profits. Agreed, they do help a lot to overcome the bridge that the educated class of villagers who are moving out, are creating. Why can’t every state government start ventures as such? Aah! Knowing our babu’s completely expect them to say “funding problems”, “no posting available” [candidates themselves are in demand!] and other such indirectly saying: “look, I don’t care about what becomes of this sector, as long as I enjoy the benefits of being a politician” statements.

Electricity! Yep, I know some states provide free electricity for a certain period of time every day or the whole day itself. But in states where they are forced to cough up money for the same, especially when some natural calamity has struck and they are under loss due to the fury of nature, what becomes of them? The same as what happened in Karnataka not so long ago, suicides, as they weren’t able to pay off the loans taken!??

They need to be provided with alternate means of supporting themselves, atleast those who prefer to stay in their village. And cheaper means of crop harvesting, using technology that can be accessible even to the most basic farmer with half an acre of land. How about reducing the costs of pesticides? I see the equation going like, reduced costs->better output->greater profit->hope that people will still prefer to be agriculturists.

First of all, these bloody MNC’s and other “companies” should be banned from buying agricultural land [whether it is fertile or not now, even if it’s infertile, innumerable methods to make it bearing]. Eating up land is fine; afterall they contribute too, but mustn’t be at the cost of another sector!

Awareness needs to be at its peak, providing them with all the info about present agricultural systems and practices. Drought management programmes blah blah. I make it clear; I am NOT against those in villages coming to towns for a “better” quality of life. I am just thinking of the possible situations that may arise if such a mass exodus happens.

The best [or worst?!] part of writing this post is that I know it won’t do any shit! It won’t prevent the agri sector’s probable calamity, or make more companies take initiative and invest in the rural sector, or least expect even one babu of ours to even read this!

I do not know if what I intended to convey has come across at all! It’s just a strange intuition that’s making me see this dire situation this industry might face. And my words will stand testimony to it, when it becomes reality! Though it’s just another grain in the shore! And all I can do is hope it’s not unmanageable [the post and the future!] just a LAYMAN’s views!

And I DO know 58% won’t become 8% in 20 years. But its definitely gonna happen!

It’s when you regret having made certain decisions. It’s when you think everything is false. When a life led and a life to be lead, seems trivial and dull. A sudden gloom sets over you, when you don’t want to talk and yet people [like me maybe] speak to you, and then realise you don’t want to talk. That’s when I believe in the volumes of silence.

Oh weary spirit, it doth a day, I do know what you feel, everyday I doth want it.

Loneliness, a free spirit, sometime to contemplate about things, words that make no sense.

Close the eye, I play the music, on and on, alpha waves… wish the moments of silence in the world lasts, and the chaos in the mind reduces its intensity. When, I wish to think about everything.

How I do understand, words I need not to tell you, an understanding of a repressed silent dullness I see in you, is what I want you to know.

Silence, the most powerful weapon, music the healer.

Hold the thought, clinch the dark moments, and let no words speak.

To you S.
